With effect from 1st January 2016 points 1,2,3 and 4 on AfC Pay Band 1 and Pay Band 2 will be adjusted to £16,132 to reflect the incorporation of the living wage

 If you don’t yet have all the experience and skills required for the Band 5 post, but have a good grounding in the knowledge and a willingness to learn please don’t be put off applying. The post may be offered as a Band 4 (£19,410 to £22,683) to a suitable candidate.

The award-winning Information Department has an exciting opportunity to join its development team in North Wales. This is a great opportunity to advance your career and gain skills in Data Warehousing, and developing effective reporting solutions for a large organisation.

You should be enthusiastic and keen to learn with a passion for making the best use of technology to support front line staff and decision makers. We are looking for someone with excellent problem solving skills, and the creative vision to design effective reports that meet user requirements.

We have a SQL Server Data Warehouse, complemented by the delivery of front end reporting using the Microsoft BI Stack. The ideal candidate will have experience in a technical environment and be familiar with the aforementioned Microsoft tools, along with T-SQL, ETL, and SSDT (BIDs). We will provide you with full training and support to develop and enhance your skills further and you will have the opportunity to develop your own area of expertise within the team, whilst maintaining a broad understanding of the full development cycle.

You will require excellent people skills with the ability to translate abstract concepts into tangible solutions. You will be required to guide more junior members of staff on technical issues and design/development concepts. You will be flexible and adaptable with the capacity to work in a fast-paced environment. This is an exciting time to join our friendly team and you will get the opportunity to help shape the way information is delivered to users.

Vacancy can be based in Wrexham, Abergele or Bangor.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post.
