An opportunity for an enthusiastic and dynamic Occupational Therapist to provide an Occupational Therapy service within the Forensic Medium Secure Adult In Patient Unit based at Bryn y Neuadd Hospital. The successful candidate will work as an integral member of the Multi Disciplinary Team and the, working with patients with severe and complex mental health conditions.

The Occupational Therapist needs to be able to work well within the team, but also be confident and competent to work autonomously. The Specialist Band 6 will be responsible for planning and carrying out assessments, interventions (group and individual) and evaluation of the service provided and will be supported to implement and support potential projects for Occupational Therapy service improvements to enhance the patient experience.

The Specialist Band 6 will be supported to contribute to the planning and delivery of the Occupational Therapy service within their team and contribute to service developments both within the Occupational Therapy Service and the wider team. The post holder will be expected to provide supervision for Technical Instructors and contribute to the education of students.

Ability to speak Welsh is desirable.
