Full time (10 Sessions)

This is a replacement post based in Wrexham working with a small team of psychological therapists and psychologists collocated with the Community Mental Health Team (CMHT). Close working relationships with the CMHT and its psychiatrists will be encouraged.

Clinically, the post holder will provide psychotherapy assessment, specialist consulting and direct clinical care for patients with complex needs and personality problems in the eastern area of the Health Board (Wrexham and Flintshire). The post will also act as the North Wales psychotherapy tutor for trainee psychiatrists and alongside other colleagues will provide clinical leadership for the strategic development of services for individuals with complex severe and enduring emotional difficulties (personality disorder) across the Health Board.

Wrexham is superbly located in North Wales, an area of outstanding natural beauty, within easy reach of Chester, Liverpool & Manchester.

You are required to be on the Specialist Register, have CCT or recognised equivalent, or be within 6 months of obtaining it at the time of interview.

The successful candidates will be appointed to the amended Welsh Consultant Contract.
