We currently have a vacancy for full and part time band 5 children's nurses on our Children's ward, both permanent and fixed term contracts. The ward consists of 22 beds including 1 High Dependency bed, 6 Assessment unit beds. The ward is a busy combined surgical and medical ward.


  • To provide nursing care to children and young people within the Children’s ward environment.
  • To be responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of that nursing care as appropriate to level of skill and experience for named patient(s), ensuring nurse in charge is aware of your current level of ability.
  • To involve and support parents and families in the provision of care for their child.
  • To participate in a rotation of staff into Admissions Assessment Unit for wider experience and to maintain this service .

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
