PRIMARY CARE TEAM HMP BERWYN

WREXHAM, NORTH WALES

£18,813 to £20,795 per annum 37.5 HOURS PER WEEK

(Full Time & Part Time hours available)

This is an excellent opportunity to be part of the Nursing Team within a brand new prison in partnership with Her Majesty’s Prison and Probation Service (HMPPS). Opened in February 2017 this Category C male training prison, with a remand facility, will have a capacity of 2,106. HMP Berwyn is being developed with a strong rehabilitative culture at its heart. The key values being built into all areas are to value each other and celebrate achievements, act with integrity and always speak the truth, look to the future with ambition and hope, uphold fairness and justice in all we do, embrace welsh language and culture and to stick at it! We are recruiting to Healthcare Support Worker posts that will work within the primary care team within HMP Berwyn.

You will be qualified to NVQ level 3 in healthcare. A comprehensive induction package plus a range of training and development opportunities are available to the successful candidate.

You will: Provide day to day healthcare for service users under the supervision of a clinician § Work in partnership with service users, other health and social care colleagues and including Her Majesty’s Prison and Probation Service staff as appropriate § Support the wider Nursing Team in providing healthcare to service users, working flexibly to support and meet the needs of the service Please note that any offer of employment will be subject to the successful receipt of enhanced DBS and prison vetting clearances.
