Medical Education Pharmacist  Band 8a

This post offers great opportunities in helping develop the prescribers of tomorrow by promoting good practice in prescribing amongst undergraduate medical staff.

You will work with medical undergraduate tutors and pharmacy colleagues to deliver and further develop the training programme around safe and effective prescribing, which involves group teaching and individual mentorship, support and assessment

You will need practical experience of the prescribing environment in secondary and primary care, good communication skills and a passion for mentoring and teaching.

Excellent teaching facilities exist within the Wrexham Medical Institute and Pharmacy Department, with pharmacy input to current training already established with excellent feedback on content.

Experience of multidisciplinary working will be essential, plus a willingness to undertake additional training as required e.g. Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Education.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
