Principal Clinical Psychologist in Renal Medicine (Band 8a)
An opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Psychologist to join the Renal Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) based at Wrexham Maelor Hospital. The job will involve mainly undertaking individual case work with renal patients and their families and providing training, supervision and support to the MDT. The post holder will additionally undertake research, service evaluation and audit work. The post holder will also be a member of the BCUHB Health Clinical Psychology Department, which is a supportive, friendly and growing department of Clinical Psychologists and Psychotherapists working in physical health services across BCUHB and has strong links with the North Wales Clinical Psychology Programme. The post provides the ideal opportunity to gain experience in applying clinical psychology within physical health settings in the relatively new and exciting field of Renal Clinical Psychology.
The post is permanent and for three days a week (22.5 hours).
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
