BCUHB wishes to appoint one Specialty Doctor with special interest in undergraduate teaching at middle grade (registrar) level in Obstetrics and Gynaecology to work at Wrexham Maelor hospital from July 2020. This is a permanent full time post to fill a current vacancy. Contracts will be for one year in the first instance, but will be extended subject to formal review and satisfactory appraisal. The appointment will be made under the terms and conditions of the Specialty Doctor contract.
The post-holder will participate in a EWTD compliant full shift rota. Although this is a non-training post, the department endeavours to offer excellent opportunities for training and development to the post-holder.
This is a 10 session job with possibility of additional two sessions based on mutual agreement. The post will involve routine clinical and on call commitments with opportunity to complete ATSM in certain areas as well as research opportunities.
Ability to communicate clearly with patients and staff is essential. Previous experience in Obstetrics and gynaecology at middle grade level in UK and a teaching qualification is desirable. Full GMC registration and license to practice is a requirement for this post. The trust is committed to equal opportunities.
