Emergency Department

Full Time / Part Time Positions Available.

Are you a highly motivated and enthusiastic Band 5 Registered Nurse or newly qualified looking for an opportunity to work in our Emergency Department within the Wrexham Maelor Hospital?

The Emergency Care Directorate is a newly formed directorate and there are various positive changes in the process, which potentially will enable our nursing staff to have various careers to choose from for their personal progression. The Emergency Department is at the Wrexham Maelor Hospital is a progressive, supportive environment with a dynamic and motivated team.

Our busy but friendly ED is looking for dedicated and enthusiastic permanent nurses wishing to gain experience in the emergency nursing. If you are already working in nursing, be a student who qualifies in the near future, or a registered nurse who wants to return after a career break we would like to meet you. We have opportunities available for those who are keen to develop professionally and make a significant contribution to the delivery of high quality, safe evidenced based care. Our focus is around continually improving the patient experience.

The applications are welcome from Paediatrics, Learning Difficulties and other speciality trained nurses. Relocations packages are available if required.

In exchange for your flexibility and commitment, we can offer a full induction, regular appraisals and feedback. In addition we will offer you support and education, a preceptorship where appropriate and will help you achieve your NMC revalidation requirements.

All applicants must be a Registered Nurse and have concurrent validation with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
