Applications are invited for the position of a part time (22.5 hours) Band 3 Medical Secretary within the Dermatology Department at the Wrexham Maelor Hospital. It is essential that the applicant holds the relevant qualifications as per the person specifications, previous medical secretarial experience would be desirable, a high level of audio typing skills, excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office and a good telephone manner. The post holder will also have the ability to work both independently and as part of a busy team, using discretion, judgment and initiative. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential together with a keen eye for detail, with the ability to process and generate urgent and routine correspondence. Candidates must be able to maintain patient confidentiality and ensure a high standard of customer care at all times. It is essential that the successful candidate has a flexible approach to work to meet the demands of the service.
