An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Apprentice Technician to join the Posture & Mobility Service. The post will be based at the Wrexham Posture & Mobility centre, to manufacture/fabricate and repair customised medical devices in accordance to the Medical Device Regulations and the service’s quality management system ISO13485. This exciting opportunity will enable you to gain valuable work experience within a Medical Device manufacturing setting in the NHS and achieve a nationally recognised qualification.

You will have completed year 1 of the Apprenticeship in Mechanical Manufacturing Engineering Course and will continue onto year 2 and 3 with one day per week release at College Cambria. It is expected that the apprenticeship qualification will be completed within 24month time period.

The post will give the opportunity to complete the appropriate Educational qualifications, learn about the various elements of the service, manufacturing processes, and quality management systems. These are just a few of things you will be doing during your time with us.

The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
