This includes establishing new exciting roles in our community and inpatient teams and a clear pathway for staff to continue to learn and progress throughout their career.


As part of our growth strategy, Betsi Cadwaladr University Local Health Board are currently looking to appoint a Consultant Psychiatrist of Learning Disability for the Flintshire Community Learning Disability Team, based in Mold, Flintshire.


The Betsi Cadwaladr University Local Health Board has been formed from the amalgamation of 3 previous NHS Trusts. Secondary health services for adults with learning disabilities are delivered by the Mental Health and Learning Disability Division. Services for children are provided through the Children and Young People’s Division.


We are looking for enthusiastic, innovative and committed team players. The services are developing, therefore the successful candidates will be expected to provide clinical care, leadership and supervision within the respective teams. Our recruitment and retention strategy is based on individualised job plans, depending upon service needs.


The post holder will provide specialist psychiatric assessment, treatment and management for adults with a learning disability living in Flintshire. The post holder will be part of, and provide clinical leadership to the Community Learning Disability Team, working in community and outpatient settings.

You are required to be on the Specialist Register, have CCT or recognised equivalent, or be within 6 months of obtaining it at the time of interview.


The successful candidates will be appointed to the amended Welsh Consultant Contract.
