This exciting and challenging role offers a qualified and highly experienced Physicians Associate the opportunity of working within Rheumatology Department based in the Peter Maddison Rheumatology Centre in Llandudno Hospital. The appointee will be part of a highly motivated and dynamic Multidisciplinary Team. The applicant will be welcomed by those working in the department, with every encouragement to develop and consolidate their Rheumatology knowledge and aim to develop a sub-speciality interest and participate in innovations and research projects. The PA will work with the established staff, to establish a pre-eminent service with its own distinctive identity within the Department.

As a Physicians Associate you will provide care for patients including clinical assessments, diagnosis and treatment under the mentorship of a GP. The successful candidate will be autonomous, a team player and will be expected to work with the wider practice team to deliver services to meet the needs of the patients. The ability to multi-task and to work under pressure is essential and you must also be adaptable to a varied and high volume workload.

Working knowledge of using Microsoft Office applications, an understanding of GDPR and maintaining strict confidentiality in the healthcare setting are all essential together with excellent organisational and communication skills, flexibility and good time management.

Education and supervision is available through accredited and in-house training and the successful applicant will be supported by experienced trainers and clinical mentors. The level and type of supervision will be dependent on the post-holders skills and knowledge. A comprehensive induction plan will be tailored for successful candidate.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
