Are you seeking a change where you can have a positive impact upon the patient experience, where no two days are the same? If so this may be the role for you. The Patient Advice and Liaison Service is a new venture for Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board; this will provide an accessible and responsive service offering on the spot advice, support and resolution for patients, their relatives, carers and members of the public who have queries or concerns about their care. We are seeking to appoint one Patient Advice and Liaison Officer to implement the service at Glan Clwyd Hospital, Denbighshire. In this challenging post you will be aiming to resolve queries and concerns quickly and efficiently and work with the Service User Experience Team to use the feedback obtained to improve the patient experience. You will need to be enthusiastic, motivated, sensitive and tactful; educated to degree level (or equivalent experience) and have experience in dealing with patients/carers/members of the public in what often can be distressing and difficult situations.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

The postholder will have regular contact with vulnerable people and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
