THIS POST IS FIXED TERM FOR 2 YEARS TO MEET THE NEEDS OF THE SERVICE.

A vacancy has arisen within the North Wales Primary Care Audiology Service, for a full-time Associate Healthcare Scientist to assist in the provision of a high quality Audiology service to the population of North Wales served by BCUHB. The post holder will be given training to assist in the development of a new Primary Care wax removal service for patients in North Wales. In addition to taking on a key role in the implementation of a new and developing wax removal pathway, the post holder will also be expected to perform duties within the secondary care Adult Audiology service as described in the job description.

The role will be performed in GP surgeries across the Conwy East GP cluster, as well as outpatient, domiciliary and/or in-patient settings across the area served by BCUHB, with the base being Glan Clwyd Hospital.

The post holder will be funded to undertake a qualification in manual wax removal techniques (microsuction), in addition to a comprehensive in house training programme. This is an ideal opportunity to further develop clinical and service development skills in a supportive and progressive environment.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
