An exciting opportunity has arisen within the central area of Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board for a suitably experienced staff member to undertake the permanent position of Falls Team Lead in Conwy and Denbighshire (Band 7, 37.5 hours on a permanent basis).

The remit of the post is to develop and maintain a data base of patients referred to the service across the area, ensuring base line data and outcomes are available to evaluate the service for future development. The post holder is expected to deliver training around the prevention and management of falls prevention in care homes, people’s own home and other sites and to undertake falls groups as appropriate.

This post offers an opportunity to develop both clinical and managerial skills. Significant up to date experience of working within adult physical health is essential. Previous falls expereince and leadershiop experience is desireable.

The successful candidate will be responsible for  the day to day management and supervision of junior staff within the falls team. Formal supervision and completion of annual appraisals with junior stuff will also be required.  In addition, the post holder may contribute to the wider falls service and also the Physiotherapy/Occupational Therapy service i.e. audits, service developments, attending meetings.

If the post holder does not already hold a Postural Stability Instructor qualification, there will be an expectation to complete this within the first 12 months (with support).

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
