Applications are invited from enthusiastic and motivated Registered nurses with experience, ideally in Radiology / Theatres/ Surgery or similar clinical area.
There is one post of, 22.5 hours per week to be based in the Radiology Department in the Glan Clwyd Hospital.
The provision of nursing support within the Radiology Department is a vital component of the Radiology service. Registered nurses support the delivery of a safe radiological service within the Division and ensure adequate monitoring of the patient occurs prior to, during and after radiological procedures. There is also a requirement to assist the Radiologists during diagnostic and interventional radiological procedures.
The successful candidate will assess, plan and carry out nursing care and interventions on a wide range of patients ensuring effective and efficient use of resources.
The post will involve a range of nursing duties within the various modalities within Radiology including Interventional Radiology, Theatre, CT, Ultrasound, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, Mammography etc and will require close interaction with all the members of the multi-disciplinary Radiology team.
Interested candidates should arrange for a half day visit to the department prior to application.
You will support the Radiology Lead Nurse / Staff Nurse in maintaining the quality of nursing care delivered and support other team members.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
