CONSULTANT IN TRAUMA AND ORTHOPAEDICS WITH A SPECIAL INTEREST IN LOWER LIMB ARTHROPLASTY AND LIMB RECONSTRUCTION
Ten programmed activities
Applications are invited for a full time Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with interest in lower limb arthroplasty and limb reconstruction.
The successful candidate would be responsible for the running and delivery of lower limb arthroplasty and limb reconstruction service and participate in the on-call emergency trauma service. The appointee will be encouraged to actively contribute in developing the department.
Most elective surgery is undertaken at Abergele hospital, which has two laminar flow theatres. Trauma and high risk elective surgery is carried out at the main base, Glan Clwyd hospital.
To succeed you must have undergone extensive Clinical training and gained experience equivalent to that required for gaining UK Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT), hold your CCT or expected to achieve within six months along with a recognised fellowship in lower limb arthroplasty and limb reconstruction.
The Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board provides comprehensive services at three sites. Glan Clwyd Hospital serves the central population.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
