Fantastic opportunity to work in the beautiful area of North Wales. The post involves working at Glan Clwyd Hospital, which is the Central site for Betsi Cadwaladr Health Board. We are a Trauma Unit, with our local Major Trauma Centre in Stoke (University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust). We also work at Abergele Hospital which consists of elective services only.

You will be second (non-resident) on call for trauma on a 1 in 10 rota. There is weekly trauma and orthopaedic teaching. Additional teaching can be arranged for anyone sitting examinations. We have a good track record for our non-trainee doctors going on to training rotations, passing their Fellowship examinations and being successful with CESR applications.

We have an excellent library and staff. We are only a few miles from the beach and near to Snowdonia National Park. We have a thorough induction booklet for any new starters.

The department consists of 10 consultants working on the trauma rota and a further consultant doing elective surgery only. Our department is very consultant lead and you will be well supported in all aspects of the job.
