Applications are invited for this new, exciting Rheumatology post to be based at Glan Clwyd District General Hospital. The post is a full time ten session post.
We are looking for an enthusiastic colleague who is keen to join our dynamic multi-disciplinary Rheumatology team as soon as possible. You will work with two Consultant Rheumatologists, a GP trainee and a team of four Rheumatology specialist nurses and dedicated Rheumatology Physiotherapist and Occupational Therapist.
The department has specialist clinics in early arthritis, Connective tissue disease and Ankylosing Spondylitis and facilities for musculoskeletal ultrasound, within certain Rheumatology clinics, especially to support the Early Arthritis Clinic. There will be opportunity, within allocated SPA time, to gain some basic experience in Musculoskeletal Ultrasound.
There will be responsibilities within general rheumatology outpatient clinics, also an ongoing role in managing inpatients, carrying out practical procedures, particularly intra-articular joint injections and caring for and monitoring patients admitted as day cases for specialised treatment such as biologic therapies and other intravenous therapies. You are encouraged to come to discuss the details of the post and visit the department.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
