Working as part of the Emergency Quadrant Team the post holder will be required to give efficient clerical support to the nursing staff in the department.
Applicants must be extremely flexible as the Emergency Quadrant requires cover 7 days a week 24 hours per day. The applicant must have a pleasant personality and a positive approach to their work. Applicants must also have a good standard of education, be adaptable and have good organisational skills. A professional telephone manner is essential to receive and respond courteously to all telephone enquiries regarding patient care.
A key element of this role will be to support other team members during periods of sickness and annual leave and therefore a degree of flexibility is essential.
Previous ward clerk experience and knowledge of the Patient Administration System (WPAS) is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.
The ability to speak Welsh is essential for this post.
