Are you passionate about making a positive difference to patient care through the education and development of nurses, midwives, operating department practitioners and healthcare support workers? Are you a credible leader with a varied background including recent experience within a clinical education setting? If so then an exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Corporate Nursing team as Head of Education and Development.

One post holder will focus on the education and development of healthcare support workers and the second post holder on pre and post registration education for nurses, midwives and operating department practitioners. The post holders and their teams will work together to support the Associate Director in delivery of the professional regulation and education portfolio and will be expected to cross cover within the team.

The two posts for Head of Education provide an excellent opportunity to help our staff achieve their goals and for the post holders to further develop their knowledge and skills as experts in education and development. 

Applicants must demonstrate excellent leadership skills, time management, and interpersonal skills with a proven track record of achievement.

Applicants must have current or recent experience of managing a team, including knowledge and experience of education and development of others

The ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders, within the health board and externally with educational partners and professional bodies is essential.

Applications are welcomed from registered nurses, midwives or applications are welcomed from registered nurses or midwives with the relevant experience and qualifications

Bases will be Bryn Y Neuadd and Glan Clwyd.
