Are you interested in developing your nutrition skills as a ‘Dietetic Assistant’ in an exciting Dietetic department? Then come and join our dynamic Team based in Central North Wales! We are advertising two types of roles: 

  • One role works in the Dietetic Public Health and our Level 2 Adult Obesity Service; the role is based in Denbighshire, but supports the Dietetic Service across North Wales.
  • The other role works in our general Dietetic Paediatrics Service based in Glan Clwyd Hospital, and supporting paediatric services in Conwy & Denbighshire.

 On interview, applicants will be asked to order their preference in the event of their being successful. 

These exciting opportunities have arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic Dietetic Assistant to join our friendly team of 30 Dietitians and 4 Dietetic Assistants who deliver services in acute and primary care and public health.

Dietetic Assistants assist Registered Dietitians by helping them to complete a range of fascinating nutrition related tasks and projects.  These Band 3 Assistant roles are based with the Specialist Teams which are embracing innovative ways of working, and who epitomize the core values of our Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board. The post holders will work alongside Supervising Dietitians to develop and deliver Specialist Dietetic services. 

We deliver clinical placements for students, have secretarial support and are part of a wider team of 70 dietitians working across the three Areas of Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
