Cardiology Fellow / Specialty Doctor

This post is for a Specialty Doctor who wishes to gain experience in inpatient and outpatient cardiology and have the opportunity to gain skills in echocardiography and cardiac catheterisation. The applicant should have completed core medical training Year 2 and have obtained their MRCP or equivalent.

The North Wales Cardiac Centre performs approximately 1000 PCI cases per year including being the regional centre for primary angioplasty.

The post is based at the North Wales Cardiac Centre (NWCC) at Glan Clwyd Hospital which has responsibilities for patients across the Health Board. The North Wales Cardiac Centre is part of the Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board (BCUHB) and provides cardiology services for the population of North Wales (approx. 700,000). It is staffed by consultant cardiologists based in all three District General Hospitals along with consultants from radiology providing cardiac intervention and imaging. This post will be based at Glan Clwyd Hospital.
