Fixed term post for an enthusiastic and experienced person to work as an Assistant Psychologist under the supervision of Consultant Clinical Child Psychologist, Lead for ASD / Lecturer (joint clinical and research role with BCUHB and Bangor University). Likely to be extended beyond the initial grant funded period. To use/assist in the preparation of psychology service within the speciality and in the development of diagnostic instruments, assessments, training and therapeutic intervention, which includes PACT and Musical Interaction Therapy, for children on the autistic spectrum and with social communication difficulties. To support client assessments, to undertake support programmes, care or intervention under the guidance of the supervising Clinical Psychologist. To be responsible to plan and prioritise workload and actions, following instructions and guidance from the supervising Clinical Psychologist.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable. The applicant should have personal or work experience of playing with typically developing infants/toddlers as well as children with ASD. We are also particularly seeking someone willing to sing spontaneous interactive songs with playful floor-based activity and actions (like nursery rhymes) individually supporting each parent with their young child with ASD."
