Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board (West) wishes to appoint two specialty doctors to join a multidisciplinary team which provides most of the urological services for the counties of Gwynedd and Anglesey, this includes both outpatient and inpatient care. The post holders will be actively involved in the provision of the urological services to reflect changing patterns of delivery of Urology services in line with national guidelines.
There is one post at a permanent substantive basis and another at a fixed term 6-month contract.
The Department of Urology has outpatient clinics, an endoscopy suite and minor procedure rooms for urodynamics, flexible cystoscopies and trans-rectal ultrasound with biopsy. A one-stop heamaturia service is in place as well as an established Nurse-led LUTS and Erectile Dysfunction clinic. A mobile lithotripsy service is provided monthly, with additional sessions depending on demand.
