THIS POST IS FIXED TERM FOR 6 MONTHS DUE TO MEET THE NEEDS OF THE SERVICE
Are you interested in nutrition? Passionate about patient care? Come and join our enthusiastic and friendly team of 20 dietitians and dietetic assistants delivering services in acute and primary care.
Within this role you will provide support to Dietitians within the department, with time spent across a variety of clinical areas. Dietetic Assistants assist Registered Dietitians to provide services by helping to ensure nutritional care plan are followed, carrying out reviews and also related tasks, including administration to support the broader nutrition and dietetics service from within hospitals and in the community.
As well as providing services to inpatient wards, the Dietetic team undertake a range of activities such as outpatient clinics and staff and patient education sessions. The specialties covered include nutrition support, stroke, paediatrics, oncology, diabetes & weight management. Assistants work across a number of settings, including reviewing inpatients, visiting care home settings and by telephone. You will also assist with tasks related to dietetic care such as administration, managing essential resources and home enteral feed discharge systems.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
