The Psychiatric Liaison Services in North Wales within the Betsi Cadwalader University Health Board are rapidly developing. Part of the development is focused on enhancing the Older Persons aspect of the Liaison Team, therefore an exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit Band 6 nurses to carry out this role.

Liaison Psychiatry is a specialist department within Psychiatry. The service gives opportunity for nurses to practice autonomously within the supportive structure of a Liaison Team. Psychiatric liaison nurses demonstrate effective psychosocial and risk assessment, planning and signposting. Candidates will need to provide evidence of decision making in acute situations, engage with colleagues in the acute hospital to ensure effective planning of care and evidence based practice and have excellent communication skills.

The post will provide the opportunity to be part of a developing service and training opportunities will become available and will be supported.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
