Fel rhan o'r tîm byddwch yn cymryd rôl arweiniol wrth ddarparu gwasanaeth o ansawdd uchel sy'n hyrwyddo ac yn gwella iechyd meddwl a lles plant a phobl ifanc, eu teuluoedd a'u gofalwyr.

Rydym yn annog pob un o'n clinigwyr i ymgymryd â hyfforddiant pellach CBT ond hefyd yn darparu cyfleoedd i weithio ar draws ystod o gyflwyniadau penodol gan ddefnyddio dulliau therapiwtig sy'n seiliedig ar dystiolaeth fel DBT, therapi teulu systemig, EMDR, IPT yn ogystal â CBT.

Bydd yr ymgeisydd llwyddiannus yn gweithio ym maes CAMHS Haen 3 mewn asesu ac ymyrraeth yn dilyn y model gwasanaeth (CAPA). Bydd disgwyl i’r ymgeisydd llwyddianus gwrdd ag anghenion y gwasanaeth lle bo hynny'n briodol a chymryd rhan mewn tasgau gwasanaeth ychwanegol fel y Pwynt Sengl Mynediad a darparu asesiadau risg o ystod o ymddygiadau a allai fod yn niweidiol a ffactorau sy’n gysylltiedig ag anhwylderau iechyd meddwl neu hunan-niwedio.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Mental Health Nurse to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team within a Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS). As part of the team you will take a leadership role in the delivery of high quality service provision that promotes and improves the mental health and well-being of children and young people, their families and carers.

The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, self-motivating and have the ability to case manage, work autonomously and as part of a Multi Disciplinary Team (MDT) displaying excellent interpersonal and communication skills in order to establish good working relationships.

We would also welcome applications from Mental Health Nurses who do not yet have the current skills and competencies required for the post as these candidates can be considered for a developmental post. You would be provided with an experienced mentor to oversee your development over 1-2 years depending on your current skills and competencies. In addition to specific training in psychological intervention applied to a child and adolescent population, we can offer the opportunity of spending time in a range of service settings during your training period such as inpatient and crisis care. On successful completion of the programme, you will be promoted to a substantive Band 6 post. Pay and reward during this period will be in line with annex 21.

All employees are offered a structured induction and will develop a job plan with your line manager to enable you to learn as part of and alongside your clinical role. We are committed to supporting clinicians to develop their skills and know that a well-trained workforce is key in delivering the best possible outcomes for the children and young people who access our services. We encourage all of our clinicians to undertake further training CBT but also provide opportunities to work across a range of specific presentations using evidence based therapeutic modalities such as DBT, Systemic Family Therapy, EMDR, IPT as well as CBT.

The successful candidate will work in Tier 3 CAMHS providing both assessment and intervention following the Choice and Partnership Approach (CAPA) service model. The successful candidate will also be expected to meet service need where appropriate and participate in additional service tasks such as the Single Point of Access and to provide risk assessments of a range of potentially harmful behaviours and factors associated with mental health disorders or self harm.

A means of transport is essential and applicants must be willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post
