Accredited Nurse Colposcopist / Trainee Nurse Colposcopist
We are seeking to appoint either a BSCCP accredited Nurse Colposcopist or a Trainee Nurse Colposcopist to join our Colposcopy team to support the delivery of the service across the Betsi Cadwaladr Health Board. We are seeking to appoint two part time posts of 22.5 hrs each.
Applicants must be a Registered Nurse with valid NMC registration and must have significant Gynaecology experience and evidence of relevant continuing professional development.
Candidates who do not currently possess BSCCP accreditation will be supported to successfully complete a trainer-led, competency based structured training programme in diagnostic and therapeutic Colposcopy, accredited by the British Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology (BSCCP).
Trainee(s) will be expected to successfully complete the work based training programme within 12 months of commencing in post. During period of training, the trainee(s) will be required to access training in the Colposcopy clinics across BCU. Upon accreditation with BSCCP, the post holder(s) will attain the post of being an Accredited Nurse Colposcopist(s).
The successful candidate(s) may also have the opportunity to work within the Gynae minor procedures clinics / hysteroscopy clinics with appropriate support and training
Accredited Colposcopist(s) must be prepared to work in either of the three Colposcopy sites within BCU as required to meet the needs of the Colposcopy service.
