Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist

Base: Abergele Hospital
The North Wales Adolescent Service (NWAS) is a purpose built CAMHS Tier 4 Inpatient unit with excellent facilities including a large onsite school. We are situated in a picturesque hospital setting in scenic North Wales. We are home to a 12 bedded General Adolescent inpatient Ward (Kestrel) and an Intensive Outreach Team (Kite).
Kestrel ward has a confident, innovative, fully recruited nursing team, and a strong, integrated therapies team (Clinical Psychology, Art Psychotherapy and Family Therapy). The Kite team consists of Senior Nursing Staff and a Principal Clinical Psychologist. This 7 day a week team provides alternatives to admission and has strong links with both inpatient and community teams.
We are looking for a dynamic and progressive Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join us and to contribute to both teams. We are happy to consider flexible working, with a job plan to meet your specific needs. We will also welcome candidates with subspecialty interests and we are keen to discuss your requirements.

You will need to be on the Specialist Register for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, have your CCST or recognised equivalent or be within 6 months of obtaining it at the time of interview.
